Recently Comcast launched its 4G service in Portland as the company kicks off its nationwide rollout of Comcast High-Speed 2go™.
Comcast’s High-Speed 2go is a fourth-generation or 4G wireless high-speed data service that provides the fastest available wireless Internet in the nation via wireless data cards. Comcast will be selling this wireless service bundled with one or more of its popular Internet, phone and television products, providing mobile broadband where ever and whenever customers need to be connected.
In this June there were so many WiMAX event around the world. In June 2-3 WiMAX Forum Global Congress in Amsterdam, Netherlands where Intel unveiled 3.5 GHz WiMAX-enabled notebok. On the same time,June 2-6, there was COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2009 in Taiwan which has “WiMAX on the Move” theme.
Recently WiMAXian featured Intel demonstrated live video call over WiMAX between Sean Maloney,CEO of Intel, and Dennis Sverdlov,CEO of Yota, utilized a 3.5 GHz WiMAX-enabled notebook.

Early this year WiMAXian featured CLEAR commercial ads “Sprinkle” and “Beer Filled Coliseum” with tagline “CLEAR covering entire city”
“Sprinkle” delivered message that WiMAX is better than WiFi and summarize with tagline CLEAR covering entire city.
“Beer Filled Coliseum!” delivered message that WiMAX is better than 3G/HSDPA and summarize with tagline CLEAR covering entire city.
Also CLEAR Vegas Launch Music Video which unveiled WiMAX/GSM Dongle Phone at the end of the video.
And the latest is a commercial video that clearly explains the CLEAR service,the WIMAX. This animated movie delivered message that CLEAR is better than DSL because it’s mobile broadband, (again) CLEAR covering entire city along with explaining CLEAR makes life easier. And summarize with tagline CLEAR is all internet that you need.
Most of us simply accept that when we go on vacation, the TV programming we watch in our living room is inaccessible. Most of us understand that when we’re not at home, we can’t watch the premium channels we pay for. Apparently, most of us are lacking in imagination.

TelecomAsia recently reported in Asia Pacific there were 55 LTE networks in these categories compared to 25 mobile WiMAX networks in 1Q09, although mobile WiMAX had the clear advantage of 12 networks in service compared to zero for LTE, according to Informa Telecoms & Media research.
In addition, including fixed WiMAX there were 71 total WiMAX networks in Asia Pacific in these categories in 1Q09, with 40 of those in service. read more..
