Recently at BROADBAND TAIWAN 2009, one of the six WiMAX providers in Taiwan, VMAX Telecom displayed a WiMAX-enabled Taxi from Taipei-based taxi fleet M-Taxi.
Inside the taxi you can see an integrated WiMAX/GPS MID in the back seat running Windows CE, which will allow customers to access Internet, watch IPTV and mobile data services while riding.

Intel CEO Paul Otllini on October 30 announced that Intel’s venture capital arm ,Intel Capital,will invest the T$386 million ($11.7 million) in Vmax, one of several companies building new wireless networks in Taiwan based on the standard known as WiMax, which can deliver data at high speeds over relatively large areas.
