ColibriComstar, 3G/WiFi/WiMAX-enabled Netbook from COMSTAR
COMSTAR – United TeleSystems ( COMSTAR-UTS ) is the second commercial WiMAX provider in Russia currently offers WiMAX services in Moscow only.
As we have known that Yota, the first commercial WiMAX provider in Russia, offer Samsung NC10 4G as the first in Russia WiMAX-enabled netbook.
Recently Comstar-UTS announced the launch of ColibriComstar – its own netbook with the unique set of up-to-date technologies for wireless broadband Internet access. ColibriComstar buyers will be offered special terms for connection to the mobile Internet in WiMAX network of COMSTAR and 2G/3G mobile networks of MTS.

The ColibriComstar netbook is specially developed for COMSTAR-UTS. It is the first netbook in Russia combining several wireless technologies in built-in WiMAX, 3G, HSDPA/GPRS/EDGE and Wi-Fi modules.
ColibriComstar is powered by 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Z270 processor, has built-in SSD with 16 GB capacity and 1 GB of RAM. Having modest dimensions (275×179x19.7 mm) only 935 g weight.Equipped with 10.1″ LCD with a resolution of 1024×576. Also built-in 0.3 MP webcam and a microphone for video conference.

Apparently ColibriComstar utilized Intel WiMAX module combined with Intel® PROSet/Wireless WiMAX Connection Utility.

You can own ColibriComstar, 3G/WiFi/WiMAX-enabled netbook with a year-long subscription unlimited price plan ( WiMAX Colibri ) only for 23,900 rubles.Additionally, you will be able to use MTS’ OnLiner price plan with 1 GB of pre-paid Internet traffic on special terms.
