Acer Aspire One 531h and Aspire TimeLine 3810T Earn WiMAX Forum Certification
Acer continues its commitment to manufacture WiMAX-enable device. So many Acer WiMAX-enabled notebooks, netbooks and MID were ready at the market.From the Acer’s first WiMAX-enabled notebooks Acer Aspire 6930 and then Acer Aspire 3935 hit the market.In June ACER showcased its WiMAX notebook/netbook that integrated with Intel WiMAX/WiFi Link 5150 at COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2009 which also Aspire One 531h and Aspire Timeline 3810T.
In August Acer Japan showed its commitment to support UQ WiMAX and Intel business in Japan by announced that Aspire One 531h and Aspire Timeline Series with built-in WiMAX to release in September 2009.
After several tests recently Acer earned WiMAX Forum Certification for Aspire One 531h and Aspire TimeLine 3810T which to be available for 2.5GHz spectrum.


The Aspire One 531h is a 10.1 inches netbook powered by Intel Atom N280 1.66 GHz.It reproduces brighter color than average netbook on 1024×600 and 262.000 color display because of Acer CrystalBrite glossy LCD technology.Comes with 1 GB RAM and 160GB HDD, 3 Mpix Webcam, 5-in-1 card slot,3 USB ports. Beside WiMAX/WiFi conectivity, it also has Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR Support and LAN port.Battery can stay up to 7.5 hours (6 cells). The size is 255 × 183 × 19 ~ 26.9 mm in and weighs 1.15kg.OS is Windows XP Home SP3.


The Aspire TimeLine 3810T is a 13.3-inch LCD models with 1366 × 768 dots powered Intel Core 2 Duo SU9400 1.4GHz. Equipped with 160 GB HDD, 5-in-1 card slot, HDMI output.With power-saving technology “Acer Power Smart” can stay up to 8 hours (6 cells battery.The AS3810T also comes with the WiMAX / Wi-Fi, an HDMI port, 1 D-Sub VGA port, 3 USB2.0, the Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR, a 5-in-1 card reader and a web camera.The size is 322 × 228 × 23.4~28.9 in and weighs 1.6kg
