Dr. John Saw,Ph.D has served as Clearwire’s Chief Technology Officer since August 2007.Saw is the chief architect of the company’s advanced wireless network infrastructure and technology, designed to deliver true wireless broadband performance in a mobile environment.
Last week CLEAR opened up its 4G WiMAX Innovation Network to Silicon Valley developers with over 20 square miles of mobile broadband coverage in Santa Clara, Mountain View, and Palo Alto.
This marks a huge milestone in launching the world’s largest 4G sandbox in the heart of the world’s largest innovation center.
“We see tremendous potential for true, mobile broadband to act as the catalyst for new and compelling Internet applications that leverage our 4G bandwidth, free of the confines associated with wired connections,” said John Saw. “Our goal is to harness the concentration of developer talent in Silicon Valley and accelerate the pace at which these disruptive services are being developed.”

Service will be provided free to a limited number of qualified developers leading up to the commercial service launch in this area. Interested developers can sign-up at http://developer.clear.com/innovation.
