The award winning Motorola USBw100 USB WiMAX modem utilized by so many WiMAX provider around the world.Motorola USBw100 made in China, exactly by Taiwan OEM/ODM Company named Quanta Microsystems, Inc. Apparently CLEAR USB Modem, aerea USB Dongle, Tatung InfoCom USB Dongle were developed by the same company.Quanta Microsystem Inc manufactured of USB Dongle for Motorola and Alcatel Lucent.

Quanta Microsystems is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Quanta Computer Inc which known as One Laptop per Child (OLPC) maker.

Quanta provide WU series in three models WU100, WU200 and WU300. Presumably it depends on the frequency band.Just like Motorola USBw23100 (2300 – 2400 MHz),USBw25100 (2496 – 2690 MHz) and USBw35100 (3400 – 3600 MHz).
Wateen Telecom was the world’s largest WiMAX network in Pakistan. Motorola claimed Wateen Telecom having 17 cities deployed in fewer than 9 months.It’s residential and business voice and data on 3,5GHz,fixed WiMAX 802.16d.Wateen claim more than 10,000 registered customers in 20 days and the count still going strong.

Recently Wateen plan to provide mobile WiMAX 802.16e.Apparently Wateen will utilize Motorola USBw35100 from leaked photo that appear on Propakistani.

No words about price of Wateen USB WiMAX modem and its availability yet.
