Could KDDI and UQ WiMAX Join for Broadband Mobile Data Service ?

C-Motech was a leading developer, supplier and manufacturer of wireless broadband communications products who has been Franklin Wireless’ partner to supply current Sprint 3G/4G USB Modem U300 and next Sprint 3G/4G USB Modem U301.

Recently C-Motech received certification from WiMAX Forum for dual mode CDMA/WiMAX USB modem, the C-Motech CMU-301K.Presumably CMU-301K also utilized Beceem mobile WiMAX chip same as Sprint 3G/4G USB Modem U300 and U301.

If it’s not wrong photo, C-Motech 301K has “au by KDDI” logo printed on it.

Au.NET is a broadband mobile data service from KDDI. It’s available in only simple connection settings for downlink speeds of up to 2.4Mbps with CDMA 1X WIN data card (W02H) and up to 3.1Mbps with CDMA 1X WIN data card (W05K and W06K).

Currently au.NET compatible with 30 providers, but those not yet include UQ WiMAX.

Could KDDI and UQ WiMAX join for broadband mobile data service ? What do you think ?
