After delayed more than one month finally the e-Auction of 2.3 GHz WiMAX Indonesia’s result announced by Mohammad Nuh, Minister for Communication and Information Technology on 16 July 2009.

Indonesia government successfully held all the three rounds’ e-Auction. The first round on 14 July 2004, the second round on 15 July 2009 and the third round on 16 July 2009.

Here are the company names :

Zone 1, North Sumatra, PT. First Media Tbk, the highest bid Rp7.201.000.000 (~$711.010).
Zona 2, Central Sumatra, PT. Berca Hardayaperkasa, the highest bid Rp5.125.000.000 (~$506.030).
Zone 3, South Sumatra, PT.Berca Hardayaperkasa,  the highest bid Rp5.125.000.000 (~$506.030).

Zona 4, Banten & Jabotabek ( Jakarta,Bogor, Tangerang ,Bekasi), PT.First Media, the highest bid Rp 121.201.000.000 (~$11.967.111).
Zona 5, West Java, Consortium of PT.Comtronic System and PT Adiwarta Perdana, the highest bid Rp25.218.000.000 (~$2.489.968).
Zone 6, Central Java, PT Telkom, the highest bid Rp18.654.000.000 (~$1.841.853).
Zone 7, East Java, Consortium of PT.Comtronic System and PT Adiwarta Perdana, Rp31.518.000.000 (~$149.883).

Zone 8, Bali and West Nusa Tenggara, PT. Berca Hardayaperkasa, the highest bid  Rp5.100.000.000 (~$503.562).

Zone 9, Papua, PT. Telkom, the highest bid  Rp.775.000.000 (~$76.521).

Zone 10, Maluku and North Maluku, PT. Telkom, the highest bid Rp533.000.000 (~$52.627).

Zone 11, South Sulawesi, PT. Berca Hardayaperkasa, the highest bid Rp5.299.000.000 (~$523.211).
Zona 12, Sulawesi Bagian Utara, PT. Telkom, the highest bid Rp1.177.000.000 (~$116.214).
Zone 12, North Sulawesi, PT. Telkom, the highest bid Rp1.177.000.000 (~$116.214).

Zone 13, West Kalimantan, PT. Berca Hardayaperkasa, the highest bid Rp6.991.000.000 (~$690.275).
Zone 14, East Kalimantan, PT. Berca Hardayaperkasa, the highest bidRp3.490.000.000 (~$344.594).

Zone 15, Riau Islands, PT. Berca Hardayaperkasa, the highest bid Rp4.000.000.000 (~$394.950).

In addition Mr. Nuh said, “The highest bid increase nine times of the reserved price, but actually still cheaper because less than ten times compared to 3G. So, no problem.”

Apparently the result were beyond WiMAXian prediction. The PT.Berca Hardayaperkasa who well known as corporate reseller of HP product has highest bid in seven zones, while PT.Telkom ( Indonesia Government Telco Company) only has 5 zones.

PT.First Media who has highest bid in the Jakarta area ( Zone 4 ) and North Sumatera ( Zone 1 ) is the Pay TV & Internet cable provider for Jakarta area.

After this e-Auction’s result announcement there will be Auction result clarification period and the expected Winner Assignment will be on 27 July 2009.

Whoever the winner, don’t forget the obligation to utilize at least 30% local content for Sub Station and 40% for Base Station as standard in WiMAX Indonesia.And also please give the costumer a reasonable price for WiMAX service eventhough you guys spend nine times of the reserved price.

Apparently WiMAX in Indonesia will become the largest deployment area in Southeast Asia compare to Philiphines even in Asia region.
