CLEAR WiMAX Officialy Go Live in Atlanta : Highlights Photos
As WiMAXian reported before that Clearwire officially celebrates the launch of its CLEAR WiMAX service in Atlanta on Tuesday June 16.Even though the system has been operating without publicity for about six weeks.
Clearwire hosted a consumer launch event at Atlantic Station yesterday, June 16,in the district section of Atlantic Station, located in midtown Atlanta.

The WiMAX coverage area is almost 1,200 square miles right now and Clearwire boasted Atlanta is the largest metropolitan Mobile WiMAX network in the U.S. and the fastest unwired city in the South.

Paul Stamatiou,a Tech-addict blogger from Atlanta attended the launch party.He did on-the- spot-speedtest by comparing CLEAR WiMAX connection between mobile and residential service.For a laptop equipped with the mobile CLEAR service, he received 1.01 Mbps down and 410 Kbps up, compared to the 2.68 Mbps down and 900 Kbps up bandwidth for the residential CLEAR modem equipped laptop.

CLEAR provide Atlanta Launch Promo starting at $45/mo for life.Customers can purchase the service online or by visiting numerous retail locations throughout metro Atlanta including: the CLEAR store at 55 Peachtree Street, Cumberland Mall, North Point Mall, or Lennox Square; any of 11 Best Buys or 29 RadioShack stores; or other authorized CLEAR dealers.

Clearwire will bring CLEAR to 80 markets and up to 120 million people by the end of 2010. Clearwire planned to launch in 2009 include Chicago, Charlotte, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Honolulu, Philadelphia, and Seattle. Some of the additional markets planned to launch in 2010 include New York, Boston, Washington, D.C., Houston and the San Francisco Bay Area.
Congratulation CLEAR ! Clearwire also plans to launch CLEAR WiMAX in Las Vegas later this summer. Actually the system has been operating without publicity for about two weeks.
