Recently Clearwire’s Clear showed off in Sprint’s Booth at the Cable Show 2009 in D.C. They parked two demo cars with WiMAX-equipped computer stations.

Newteevee reported that the Clear team showed them various examples of streaming video from Hulu and a Slingbox, as well as that of a live traffic camera feed. In an effort to tout its bandwidth capabilities, Clear also showed off some web speed tests; Newteevee witnessed as high as 10Mbps+ and as low as 2Mbps.

Clear had discussions with several CE manufacturers interested in creating “pluggable” type technologies, which let consumers port gear between their homes and cars, according to reps. One of the demo vehicles had a Sony PSP with video playing on it strapped to the back of a seat, as well as a Clear Spot,portable WiMAX/Wi-Fi router,that was connected to the WiMAX network via a Clear USB WiMAX modem.
