CradlePoint Router’s Firmware Release 1.5.1 Adds Support for WiMAX Devices
Recently WiMAXian featured CradlePoint PHS300 as Clear Spot portable WiMAX/Wi-Fi router. In addition CradlePoint announced that CradlePoint’s firmware release version 1.5.1, available April 6.
Cradlepoint as one of the biggest 3G routers company on the market, but as emerging 4G technologies like WiMAX become available many customers will be looking for solutions that support both 3G and 4G mobile devices
CradlePoint and 3Gstore are pleased to announce firmware release 1.5.1 from CradlePoint for the popular MBR1000 and MBR800 line of mobile broadband routers, CTR500 mobile broadband travel router,and CBA250 cellular broadband adapter that adds support for WiMAX devices including the Clear WiMAX USB modem , Sprint U300 3G/4G USB modem , and the ZTE TU25 XOHM WiMAX USB modem.
The latest firmware puts the power of WiMAX into the hands of consumers and businesses, and enables a new class of business-capable mobile broadband with 4G download speeds that exceed DSL, and rivals cable modem speeds.

Firmware release 1.5.1 provides support for the above mentioned WiMAX modems for the following CradlePoint routers:

Unfortunately this firmware release is NOT compatible with the CradlePoint PHS300 or CTR350 models!
