Yukyung Viliv S5:The First GPS+WiMAX-enabled Yukyung MID

Recently YuKyung Technologies(www.myviliv.com) held a launch party for its MID ‘Viliv S5′.Viliv S5 is the second MID produced by Korean manufacturers with Windows XP installed. TG Sambo launched their Luuon
Mobbit PS400 as the first one about a month ago.

Viliv S5 is powered by Intel Atom (Z520,U15W) 1.33 Ghz,the 4.8-inch touchscreen LCD can support up to 1024 x 600 resolution and the default setting is 800 x 480, memory 1GB, support connectivity WiBro/WiMAX or HSDPA,WiFi,Bluetooth 2.0 and GPS capability SRF star 3.

The Viliv S5 is capable of 6 hours of continuous movie playback and about 200 hours of standby time (3.7V 6200mAh battery).

The Viliv S5 will be released at about the end of January 2009 and its retail price will be around 500,000 to 700,000 won (US$388 to US$543). If the Viliv S5 is released with WiBRO, price can be reduced to around 400,000 to 500,000 with a 2-year WiBRO contract with the operator.
