Lenovo consistent in their commitment to the future of WiMAX. When XOHM Baltimore launched party,they announced ThinkPad SL 500, SL300,T400 and X301 which were offer embedded Intel WiMAX/WiFi Link 5350 network card. The card is configured with a combo module that provides both Wi-Fi and WiMAX connectivity. Combined with Lenovo’s Access Connections ThinkVantage Technology it is easy to switch from a WiMAX to a Wi-Fi signal and back again as the circumstance requires.

Unfortunately not all those notebooks are released to the market yet.

The cheapest Lenovo notebook that has embedded WiMAX is the ThinkPad SL500 on sale for $899.00 and then followed ThinkPad SL300 on sale now for $979.02.

By the end of this year Lenovo expand Thinkpad WiMAX series. Still they offer Intel WiMAX/WiFi Link 5350 network card as an option.

Lenovo offer ThinkPad SL500 15.4″ widescreen with integrated graphics start price at $499.00, ThinkPad T400 14.1″ widescreen with integrated graphic start price at $879, ThinkPad T500 15.4″ widescreen with integrated graphics start price at $899.00, ThinkPad X200 with integrated graphics start price at $1,129.00 and ThinkPad W500 15.4″ widescreen with discrete graphics start price at $1,349.00.

You can add the Intel WiMAX/WiFi Link 5350 network card by click “customize & buy” icon and then it will cost additional $80.
